Mane left Liverpool in the summer of 2022 to join Bayern. The player from Senegal was recruited for a transfer fee of 32 million euros and is contracted until 2025.
High expectations accompany Mane’s arrival at Bayern. Because Mane was one of the key players in Liverpool’s success when they won the 2018/2019 Champions League, 2019/2020 Premier League, and twice became Champions League runners-up.

In his last season at Liverpool, Mane made 23 goals and five assists in 51 matches. Overall, he scored 120 goals and 48 assists in 269 appearances for the Reds.
However, Mane’s debut season at Bayern did not go as expected. The 31-year-old player only scored 12 goals in 38 appearances for Die Roten. Mane was even involved in a dispute with Leroy Sane.
Mane is now headed for Bayern’s exit. He will move to Saudi Arabia to join Cristiano Ronaldo’s club, Al Nassr.
“I don’t know what went wrong (at Bayern),” Klopp said as reported by Metro.
“When he left us he left in very good condition, a world class player.”
“Maybe a new environment, new expectations. I didn’t speak to Sadio about this,” said Klopp.
