The PCP announced, via the website of the newspaper Avante !, the new safety and hygiene rules for the Festa do Avante, which returns to Quinta da Atalaia, in Seixal, between the 4th and 6th of September. Without confirming the maximum capacity of the event, the party reveals that, in the context of the covid-19 pandemic, the use of a protective mask will be mandatory and that only outdoor events will take place.
About the use of a mask, it can be read: “it is recommended to visitors to wear masks, because their use will be mandatory in accessing spaces and all attendance services”. The outdoor camp “will continue to exist with limited capacity”, although the maximum number of people allowed is not disclosed.
With regard to the show spaces, which will receive performances by Xutos & Pontapés, Dino D’Santiago, Camané & Mário Laginha, Capicua, Lena d’Água, Dead Combo and Mão Morta, among many others, the Festa do Avante will feature “three central stages” and will all be open-air: “the 25 de Abril stage grew by 6 thousand m2, third stage will be the Palco Paz which will bring together the programming of other stages “.
Also the spaces Avanteatro, Cineavante, Festa do Livro, which was located in a tent, Espaço Ciência and Espaço Criança take place outdoors “and with a considerably larger audience area”, with “delimitation of areas, marking of corridors and circuits”.
As a way of avoiding crowds at the entrances, the doors will open earlier (at 4 pm), there will be more space available in the enclosure (over 10 thousand m2) to facilitate circulation and the figure of “audience assistant” will be created, which will facilitate the referral for the occupation of seats and will help to respect the rules.
The sanitary facilities will be “large”, with an exclusive for children, and will have permanent cleaning teams, which will proceed to “more frequent and deeper cleaning and disinfection”.
The number of bars and restaurants will be reduced, but the terraces will be extended, “with a guaranteed distance between tables and chairs” – permanent cleaning and disinfection teams are also guaranteed. Digital card payment and “contactless” forms of payment will be privileged, with only two ATMs on the premises.
