Shang-Chi: Mandarin actor reveals his character is not a villain

Marvel Studios disappointed audiences in 2013 when they introduced us to that poor version of the Mandarin in Iron Man 3 (79%), an imitation that did not do justice to what fans expected. The MCU did not take long to justify itself by saying that this was not the true incarnation and years later it gave him a second chance through Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Tony Leung. It seems that the true Mandarin of Marvel Studios will be something different from the printed version, but that detail could be worth numerous points among fans who are not looking for flat antagonists. Destin Daniel Cretton, director of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, talks about the work of Tony On the Mandarin: “A character like Wenwu could easily have been a heartless one-dimensional villain. But the tapes are not the only thing that Marvel Studios has in mind because in Disney Plus it has also been releasing an important handful of series and very soon we will see more.
