Mandalika competitor circuit bankrupt! Finland will never win MotoGP

Jakarta

The KymiRing Circuit is officially bankrupt. The competing circuit of Mandalika, located in Finland, has failed to hold MotoGP forever. Though KymiRing had just been built and became a debut circuit with Mandalika Circuit in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

As quoted by Quick week, KymiRing’s subsidiary “KymiRing Events” was unable to pay the fees required by Dorna Sports, until it filed for bankruptcy (bankruptcy). This means that Finnish MotoGP is dead forever.

Previously, the KymiRing circuit was set to host MotoGP 2022 and join the Mandalika circuit as the debut circuit in MotoGP. The Mandalika circuit successfully hosted WSBK at the end of 2021 and MotoGP in March 2022. Meanwhile, KymiRing continues to have problems.

Originally the KymiRing was supposed to hold the MotoGP on July 10, 2022. However, this was not done because the KymiRing could not meet Dorna’s requirements, so homologation could not be done.

After the owners of KymiRing went bankrupt, the event agency KymiRing Events suffered the same fate. The company is a partner of Dorna and organizes and manages all the other events of the new circuit.

A few weeks ago the news arrived that Dorna had presented a request of 6.4 million euros against KymiRing Events for the cancellation of the GP. The basis is a long-term contract signed in 2021 to host the Finnish GP.

The Päijät-Häme District Court declared KymiRing Events bankrupt. Unfortunately, this company does not have a functioning board of directors and cannot run a business. Meanwhile, parent company KymiRing has filed for corporate restructuring.

Whether or not the circuit operators will pay off their debts remains to be seen. If he fails to pay the debt, then the circuit will be ruined.
