Mandalika Circuit Feasibility Test Schedule is Predicted to be Retreat

BOLASPORT.COM – Feasibility test schedule Mandalika Circuit for MotoGP 2021 is predicted to step down from the original agenda at the end of the year.

Quoted BolaSport.com from Antara, Chief Strategic Communication Officer of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), Happy Harinto, said that the schedule was expected to be delayed by 1-2 months due to the corona virus pandemic.

The main cause is the process of infrastructure development which was halted in March to April.

Nevertheless, the process of building the Mandalika Circuit has resumed. Construction work is estimated to have reached 40 percent as of June 2020.

MGPA is also still waiting for an announcement from Dorna Sports regarding the Mandalika MotoGP series schedule.

The plan, Dorna Sports will release the 2021 season schedule in August.

As for the plan to hold a pre-season test, it could not be ascertained because the MotoGP schedule had to be reset due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
