Manchester United have announced 25 senior players who will be competing in Liga Champions this season. Donny van de Beek’s name was not there.
This was announced by MU through their official website on Tuesday (5/9/2023). All new recruits, including those brought in ahead of the closing of the transfer market such as Altay Bayindir, Sergio Reguilon and Sofyan Amrabat have also been registered.
Alejandro Garnacho, who is still 19 years old, is not included in this list. However, the Argentine striker can play under the ‘B list’ status, which contains young players who have graduated from the academy.

Van de Beek is the senior name missing from this list. The Dutch midfielder is rumored to be joining Fenerbahce in the near future. It is known that the transfer market in Türkiye is still open until September 15.
MU returns to the Champions League this season after missing last season. They are joined in Group A with Bayern Munich, Copenhagen and Galatasaray. The Red Devils are the favorites to advance to the round of 16 with Die Roten.
