Manchester United’s New Goalkeeper Andre Onana Faces Criticism from Club Legend Dwight Yorke

Debut Andrew Onan for Manchester United unsatisfied club legend, Dwight Yorke. He considered the Cameroonian goalkeeper no better than him David De Gea!

Onana became MU’s new recruit in the 2023 transfer market. He was bought from Inter Milan for a price of 43.8 million pounds, plus an additional bonus of 3.4 million pounds.

Onana’s first match in MU uniform took place when he met Real Madrid in pre-season test matches. Appearing at the NRG Stadium, Texas, the Red Devils were beaten by two goals without reply!

“I will monitor this player [Andre Onana] accurately. Those who criticized De Gea and wanted him to leave would probably be the ones who wanted him back the most. I hope that doesn’t come back to haunt United,” Yorke said Manchester Evening News.

“Now they have bought Andre Onana. Be careful what you wish for. De Gea is a Golden Glove winner, a top player who makes some mistakes, just like all of us,” he added.

“I don’t think Onana is as good as De Gea and people need to watch her very carefully,” said Dwight Yorke.
