Manchester United’s Europa League Challenge: Ten Hag Confirms Mason Mount’s Injury Absence Against Porto

Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag, coach of Manchester United, confirmed that the absence of star midfielder Mason Mount will affect his team during the clash against Portuguese Porto on Thursday night in the Europa League.

Midfielder Mason Mount was not in Manchester’s roster, after he was absent from the team’s training session yesterday, Wednesday, after sustaining a head injury in last Sunday’s game against Tottenham.

Ten Hag said in a press conference, “He was injured in the head and also suffered a bruise. These are two reasons why he was not included in the roster for the Porto game.”

Kobe Maino took part in Manchester United training yesterday, Wednesday, after being substituted against Tottenham due to a minor injury in the first half, and was included in the roster for the Porto game.

The list also included England defender Harry Maguire, who missed the last match against Tottenham due to injury, while it was without players Lenny Euro, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, as would be expected.

Regarding defenders Tyrell Malaysia and Luke Shaw, the United coach said, “They are both making progress on their way back, and we hope that Luke Shaw will return quickly after the break -national.

Manchester’s official website on Thursday quoted Ten Hag as saying, “I don’t know if he will be back in the first game after the international break or not. I can’t say for sure at the moment, but we have two and a half weeks from now to prepare for his return, and we hope that things will go as expected.”

He continued, “Tyrrell is making good progress in his training on the field, but he must return to group training first.”

Porto, led by coach Vitor Bruno, is missing player Ivan Marcano, who has been absent from the field for a long time.

The match could see the return of Fabio Vieira, who was loaned to Porto from Arsenal, after missing the last four games for his team due to injury.
