Manchester United’s Donny van de Beek Transfer: Latest Updates and Potential Move to Fenerbahce and Galatasaray

Jakarta

Manchester United race against time to let go Donny van de Beek this summer. The transfer market in Turkey is still open, and the Red Devils are planning to release it there.

ESPN reports that there are currently two teams interested in Van de Beek, namely Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. The 26-year-old midfielder has been told by manager Erik ten Hag that he will not be first choice.

The Dutch coach will prioritize Sofyan Amrabat and Mason Mount, who were only recruited this summer. Van de Beek was not even included in the list of 25 senior MU players who will go down in the Champions League.

Van de Beek, who is still under contract until 2025, was once expected to leave at the start of the transfer window, but so far his nose is still visible at Carrington. He was once linked with Real Sociedad, but never moved.

MU is willing to consider any offers that come in for him, including loan proposals even though a permanent purchase is preferred. The transfer market in Turkey closes on September 15, so MU still has one week left.

Van de Beek failed to shine at MU even though he was bought expensively for 35 million Pounds plus bonuses from Ajax Amsterdam in 2020. Even though he was nominated for the Ballon d’Or in 2019 after bringing the Dutch giants to the semifinals of the Champions League.

Three seasons passed at Old Trafford, Van de Beek only appeared 34 times in the Premier League. He spent half a season on loan at Everton in January 2022 and suffered a serious injury in January 2023 which forced him out until the end of the season.
