WHAT HAPPENED? Manchester United suffered their second consecutive defeat in the Champions League when the Turkish team twice came from behind to win at Old Trafford on Wednesday (4/10) early morning WIB.
The Red Devils, with Casemiro sent off in the 77th minute after picking up two yellow cards, took the lead twice through striker Rasmus Hojlund but their former players Wilfried Zaha, Kerem Akturkoglu and then Mauro Icardi punished the hosts’ fragile defence.
Man United lost their first Champions League game of the season 4-3 to Bayern Munich and they currently sit bottom of their group.

SOLKSJAER TOO: The defeat, which came a few days after the defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace in the Premier League, meant United suffered consecutive home defeats for the first time since October-November 2021.
On those occasions, they lost 5-0 and 2 -0 to Liverpool and Manchester City respectively. These were Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s last two home games as United manager before his sacking.
When he was sacked, the Manchester side had won just one of their last seven games in the top flight and were seventh in the table – 12 points behind then-toppers Chelsea. Currently, Ten Hag’s troops are in 10th place and nine points behind leaders City.
