Manchester United have two games to secure the only point they need to book their place in next season’s Champions League.

Ahead of Fulham’s visit on the final day of the season, United will have a chance to get the job done when fellow west Londoners Chelsea head to Old Trafford on Thursday.

Here’s how Erik ten Hag might prepare for this one.

GK: David de Gea – The Golden Glove winner has 17 clean sheets to his name, one shy of his Premier League best of 18 from the 2017/18 season.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Wan-Bissaka has had a fantastic resurgence under Ten Hag and will be tasked with keeping Chelsea’s speedy wingers in check.

DFC: Raphael Varane – Back from injury and raring to play, Varane is an obvious starter.

DFC: Victor Lindelof – With Lisandro Martínez (and Phil Jones) injured, Lindelof is the clear partner for Varane.

LB: Luke Shaw – Shaw, one of the best left-backs in the league this season, will be a regular feature at TOTYs across the country.

DM: Casemiro- His kick from above sealed victory over Bournemouth last time out and Casemiro will happily take on that kind of responsibility once again.

DM: Christian Eriksen – This may be the last time Eriksen faces Chelsea before his former boss Mauricio Pochettino takes over.

RM: Antonio – United’s attempt to praise one of Antony’s dribbles on Twitter ended up backfiring as critics began to question the Brazilian’s methods.

AM: Bruno Fernández – Fernandes has been a bit hot and cold recently and could use a top performance here.

LM: Jadon Sancho – Sancho has really struggled to find form this season and risks losing his place to someone like Alejandro Garnacho.

ST: Marcus Rashford – Anthony Martial may have sulked his way back to the bench with his reaction to his retirement against Bournemouth. Rashford should be fit again and could be heading up.
