Manchester United end the 2022/2023 season by winning the Carabao Cup trophy, finishing third, and becoming an FA Cup finalist. Is it enough okay, Bruno Fernandes?
“It’s not been a successful season overall, but there’s value in it,” said Bruno Fernandes to BBC after MU lost 1-2 to Manchester City in the FA Cup final, Saturday (3/6) evening WIB.
“We have made a big step for next season, we will try to win trophies again,” he said.
Manchester United had started the season with successive defeats to Brighton and Brentford. Not to mention, there is the drama of Cristiano Ronaldo being left out of the main squad.
New manager Erik ten Hag is a race against time. He slowly managed to bring the Red Devils consistently at the top.
Manchester United successful in securing a ticket to the Champions League next season. In the summer transfer market, MU is believed to be spending on players to strengthen the squad.
The attack line needs new ammunition. Names like Harry Kane and Mason Mount are rumored to be transported to Old Trafford.
Even in defense, MU needs depth in the defender position. Harry Maguire wants to be sold, the name of the Napoli center back, Kim Min-jae, is widely targeted.

“Our fans have been extraordinary throughout the season. We are disappointed because we failed to close the season with this defeat,” said Bruno.
