Manchester, England (HSI) – Manchester United suffered, but managed to get a super difficult victory away against West Ham thanks to a penalty saved by David De Gea in discount.
United even had to come back after being down on the scoreboard for a few minutes in the first half.
West Ham began winning on the scoreboard in the 30th minute after a great collective play that Said Benrahma finished off and that was diverted in Varane.
Five minutes later, Manchester United found the tie with Cristiano Ronaldo who does not stop scoring on his return to England. CR7 received a great pass from Bruno Fernandes, defined and took advantage of the goalkeeper’s rebound to score.
It was until the end of the second half and near the end of the game that he achieved the victory with much suffering.
In the 89th minute, Jesse Lingard received the ball and as he entered the area, he cut and placed the ball in the corner of the goal. Minutes later, Cristiano Ronaldo fell in the area and requested a penalty, which was not awarded.
Who did have a penalty in added time was West Ham, at which point David De Gea became a hero by covering Noble’s launch.
