Manchester United announced the signing of a new contract with the German company Adidas, which has dressed the “red devils” since the beginning of the 2015/16 season.
The new contract was signed for a period of 10 years – until 2035. According to the English media, the club will receive 100 million per year, thus improving by up to 1 billion euros for the entire period.
It is undoubtedly the most expensive contract in Premier League history. The previous deal, which was concluded in the summer of 2014, earned Manchester United around €87.5 million per year.
Adidas also provided equipment for the “Red Devils” in the period from 1980 to 1992.
“The relationship between Manchester United and Adidas is one of the most iconic in world sport. The foundations were laid in the 1980s and over the past decade our partnership has evolved into the most innovative designs and technologies in sportswear.” said Richard Arnold, chief executive of the English club.
