Manchester United officially sells its young forward, Anthony Elangathe Nottingham Forest. Elanga left after strengthening the MU first team for three seasons.
Forest bought Elanga from MU for a transfer fee of 15 million pounds sterling (Rp. 289.5 billion). The Swedish international striker agreed to a five-year contract or until 2028.
Anthony Elanga was a graduate of the Manchester United youth team before being promoted to the senior team in 2020. So far, Elanga has made 55 appearances contributing four goals and four assists in all competitions.
Everton are also interested in the transfer market this summer. However, it was Nottingham Forest who managed to get his signature.
“It’s a pleasure to be here. This is a proud moment, not only for me but for my family too,” said the 21-year-old striker. Daily Mail.
“This will be the perfect next step in my career. It is a huge step and I am really looking forward to playing in front of the Forest fans at The City Ground.”
“I was attracted by other clubs, but to me, Nottingham Forest felt like the perfect club for me. I was so ready for the challenge and I wanted to take on everything and get to work,” said Elanga.
Anthony Elanga became the fifth player to leave Manchester United. The other four players previously were Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, David de Gea and Alex Telles. The MU squad reshuffle is still continuing as Scott McTominay, Fred and Harry Maguire are also on the sale list.
