Manchester United released an official statement on its website on Monday, responding to claims by its Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Manchester United’s veteran striker Ronaldo made fiery statements in a TV interview in which he attacked his club and manager Eric Ten Hag and complained that he was “betrayed”, which paves the way for his departure after the World Cup in Qatar.
The English club said in a statement on its website: “Manchester United have noted the media coverage regarding an interview conducted by Cristiano Ronaldo. The club will consider your response after confirming all the facts.”
The statement added: Our focus remains the preparation for the second half of the season and the continuation of the work that has been built between the players, coach, staff and fans.
