Ralf Rangnick has to wait for his first appearance as coach of Manchester United.
Because the 63-year-old is waiting for the work permit that has been required since Brexit, he will not be on the sidelines at the home game of the English record champions against Arsenal on Thursday. As Manchester United announced on Tuesday, the team will continue to be looked after by assistant coach Michael Carrick for the time being.
Rangnick may make his Manchester debut against Crystal Palace
Rangnick was officially confirmed as interim trainer for the Red Devils on Monday. The former coach of the Bundesliga clubs RB Leipzig, FC Schalke 04 and Hannover 96 will train the team until the end of the season and then support the club as an advisor for an initial two years.
