Bruno Fernandes to be the best player Manchester United 2019/2020 season. Although he only joined in January, the Portuguese midfielder was able to win over fans.
On the official MU website, Fernandes won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year 2019/2020 award. He beat Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
In the voting, Fernandes won 35.5 percent of the votes of fans who followed the election via the official MU application. He beat Martial (34 percent), Rashford (10.4 percent) and Mason Greenwood (8.3 percent).
“Of course you want to win a trophy for the team, club and fans. But obviously, I am happy with individual awards,” said Fernandes.
“Of course you can say you don’t care about that or anything, but this is always important for players. You always feel good when you win things like this, and so do I. I’m very happy, and want to contribute to more titles. again for the club and the fans because they deserve it, “he explained.
Fernandes’ success cannot be separated from his slick performance at MU. Since being bought from Sporting Lisbon, the 26-year-old has been able to lift the team’s form thanks to his goals and assists.
Fernandes has played 22 times in all competitions, since being brought in by MU in the second half of the season.
