Everything seems to indicate that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s story at Manchester United has come to an end. The poor sporting results and the poor performance of the team would be the main reasons for the directive to take accurate measures.
And it is that the 4-1 defeat against Watford in the Premier League would have filled the patience of the leaders, who throughout the last weeks defended the Norwegian coach with tooth and nail.
After the painful fall in the local tournament, the British media followed the situation of Solskjaer and the managers in detail. At a press conference, the coach barely spoke about his situation: “I continue to work for the club in the way I have done for 18 years. We are in a bad streak and in a delicate position, but this is football ”.
Immediately afterwards, it was leaked to public opinion that the board, led by the Glazer family, turned their attention to Zinedine Zidane, who by the way is close to reaching an agreement with PSG.
In this vein, the newspaper ‘The Times’ assured that the Blazers gave the order to intensify the negotiation with ‘Zizou’ and after that they summoned Solskjaer to an immediate meeting.
At this point, the journalist specialized in transfers Fabrizio Romano gave more details. In the first place, he assured that the meeting lasted approximately five hours and after that he confirmed that the relationship between both parties ended by “mutual agreement.”
Precisely on the above, a photo of the strategist leaving the club’s offices in his truck has been viralized on social networks.
And he expanded minutes later: “Manchester United is working on compensation and a written agreement with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The separation will be a ‘mutual agreement’. Solskjaer will go, it’s over. An official statement is expected in the next few hours, once the procedures are completed ”.
He even stated that the replacement of the coach, while a category one is obtained, will be covered on an interim basis by ex-footballers Darren Fletcher and Michael Carrick.
