MANCHESTER – Manchester United announce transfer Lisandro Martinez from Ajax Amsterdam. An agreement has been reached between Man United and Ajax regarding the transfer of the Argentinean player.
Martinez is one of the players on Man United’s shopping list. The new Man United coach, Erik Ten Hag, knows Martinez’s qualities because he has coached him at Ajax.
After weeks through negotiations, Ajax finally received a proposal worth 46 million pounds (approximately Rp818 billion) from the Red Devils. The Argentine can be confirmed as a new Man United player.
Man United have announced the transfer of Martinez on the club’s official social media accounts. This is good news for Man United fans.
“Agreement has been reached for the transfer of Lisandro Martinez,” tweeted the official Man United Twitter account (@ManUtd), Sunday (17/7/2022).
Please note, Martinez is not only able to play as a center back, but also a left back. This adds to the options for Ten Hag for the Man United defence.
Meanwhile, Man United are still looking for a central midfielder to replace Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic. Barcelona midfielder, Frenkie de Jong, is the main target for Man United and Ten Hag. Negotiations with Barcelona are still ongoing.
