The German’s start in Old Trafford life has been varied.
Ralf Rangnick was to come in and turn the ship around at Old Trafford after Ole Gunnar Solskjær, but it has been far from an immediate success for the German.
This weekend, Manchester United lost at home to Wolverhampton, and the performance has already become a talking point in and around the club.
TV 2’s Premier League expert, who recently became Brann’s assistant, Erik Huseklepp was critical of Rangnick’s men after what they showed against Wolves.
– It is frighteningly weak and it is frightening how little they manage to control a match against a team that is supposed to be better than at home. I do not understand why United should have such a long-term temporary solution. Then I would actually still like to stay with Carrick for a while, Erik Huseklepp told Nettavisen after the loss on Monday.

– Had no idea
A player who had his big breakthrough during OIe Gunnar Solskjær is the young boy Mason Greenwood, but the Englishman has struggled to find his way in the team after the Norwegian’s departure.
The 20-year-old has one goal in his last 12 league games, and now Liverpool legend Steve Nichols is reacting to what he has seen of Greenwood.
– It seemed like Mason Greenwood had no idea what he was going to do there. Every time I looked away from the match and looked back, he was in completely different places on the field, he says.
And continues:
– He was on the right, left and in the middle. Everywhere.

Critical
Nichols believes Ralf Rangnick has a big task ahead of him to reverse the bad trend in Manchester United’s game.
– The worst thing you can do as a coach is to set up a tactic, which none of the players understand anything of. There’s a lot of the problem here. If the players know what to do, and it goes wrong, you can at least go into pointing out what to change.

– Sancho was more disciplined in Rangnick’s system, but Mason Greewood really did not know what to do. He neither attacked nor worked defensively. Manchester United became the closest one man less out there.
The next opportunity for Manchester United to disprove the critics is in the FA Cup meeting with Aston Villa, January 10.
