“Manchester United Manager Erik ten Hag’s Bond with Former Player Hakim Ziyech at Old Trafford”

Manager Manchester United Erik ten Hag seemed engrossed in mingling with the players Chelsea Hakim Ziyech after the match between the two teams. What are you talking about?

Man United ensured a top four finish, and won a Champions League ticket, thanks to a 4-1 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford in Week 37 of the Premier League.

One of the moments caught after the match was when Ten Hag and Ziyech seemed to chat warmly with a smile. In the match itself Ziyech made an assist after coming off as a substitute.

“(Chatter) was enough between Hakim and myself,” said Ten Hag when asked what they chatted about, as reported by Daily Mail.

“We’ve been through a lot together, beautiful things. It’s a bond that lasts a lifetime.”

As is well known, Ziyech was part of the Ajax squad that Ten Hag brought to win the Eredivisie and reach the 2019 Champions League semifinals. Ziyech joined Chelsea in 2020, but his career is now stagnant.

During the last winter transfer market, Ziyech was very close to Chelsea’s exit to PSG before the transfer finally failed to materialise. He is believed to be leaving in the summer.

“He has to play every week. A footballer like that, at the peak of his life, has to be on the pitch,” said Ten Hag about the 30-year-old footballer who has only played nine times this season for Chelsea.
