United played a draw 1: 1 (0: 0) with Norwich City. The victory was celebrated by the “red devils” in overtime – 2: 1.

The first half of the game was quiet, but the visitors managed to find the score 51 minutes into the match. Odions Igalo was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper.

Norwich’s team didn’t give up and Todd Kantwell returned to the scoreboard with a strong “long shot” 15 minutes before the end of regular time. The home crowd cheered when, after 89 minutes, Tims Klose’s charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day.

During the compensation granted by the referee, the goal was sometimes threatened by Igalo and Paul Pogba, but without success. Also in overtime, Norwich’s team played defensive, repeatedly repelling dangerous United attacks.

The defensive wall collapsed two minutes before the end of overtime – Pogba played the ball on the penalty area, but after a bit of a foul on the ball, Harry Magvaire was the first to slip through the lawn to score United’s second goal.

Manchester team head coach Ūle Gunnars Sūlšers had chosen a bold tactic in this duel, placing his attacking leaders Markus Rešdford and Pogba on the field only in the second half. Resford got off the lawn in the 63rd minute, but Pogba did the same 15 minutes later.

Sheffield “United” – London “Arsenal”, Leicester “City” – London “Chelsea” and Newcastle “United” – Manchester “City” will meet in the remaining three quarter-final duels on Sunday.

Last year, the FA Cup was won by Manchester City, which destroyed Watford 6-0 in the final.

Most FA trophies – 13 – belong to Arsenal, while Manchester United are one less.
