Manchester –
Andrew Onan started his career in Manchester United with a number of blunders. Former MU captain Roy Keane assesses that the current situation is very difficult.
Andre Onana had an unwanted start with MU. From just the first 11 matches this season, the Cameroon international goalkeeper has conceded 19 goals.
The former Inter Milan goalkeeper also made a number of fatal blunders. That left him wondering whether it would really be an improvement for David de Gea, who was released last summer.
Former MU midfielder Roy Keane assesses Onana in a difficult and very challenging position. This reminded him of a number of goalkeepers who failed at the club.
“We’re talking about positions at big clubs. The goalkeeper position at Man United is very big for a goalkeeper with a character like that, facing mistakes too. But he has made six, seven, eight big mistakes that have resulted in goals,” said Keane reported Football365.
“Not a good start. This has been going on for a long time. We have had goalkeepers who had complicated starts and we thought they were very good goalkeepers. But it seems there is no way back for him,” he added.
