Manchester United Dominates But With Little Reward Against Crystal Palace (0-0)

Text size

Manchester United failed to turn their dominance at Crystal Palace (0-0) into fruition, and the point in London leaves the ‘Red Devils’ in a modest eleventh position, far from their goals.

Erik ten Hag’s team, which won last weekend in Southampton (3-0), has only seven points out of a possible 15, the same as Tottenham, another team that has been disappointing at the start of the Premier League.

The ‘Red Devils’ constantly attacked their hosts but failed to capitalise on their many chances, particularly in the first half, thanks to the good work of local goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who excelled with shots from Argentine Alejandro Garnacho (10, 63), a powerful header from Matthijs De Ligt (13) and a deflected ball from Joshua Zirkzee (42).

His crossbar also saved the home team twice in the same play, first from Garnacho and then from Bruno Fernandes (27).

Crystal Palace showed a little more ambition in the second half, but André Onana also stood out between the sticks.

It was a third consecutive draw for Palace, who will visit Everton next weekend, while United will host Tottenham.
