Manchester United discontented agents to “study exit plan” for January – Marseille News

Donny van de Beek’s agents are said to be “working hard” to “study an exit plan” at Manchester United for January.

After a first wrestling season at Old Trafford, things haven’t been easier this time around.

The 24-year-old has only managed four Premier League starts in 2020/21, and this quarter his playing time has been equally limited. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer called Van de Beek to the bench for just four minutes in seven league games.

Van de Beek was hooked at halftime in the Champions League loss to Young Boys. He got a 90-minute runout in the EFL Cup loss to West Ham, but has not been seen since.

The midfielder showed visible signs of frustration and was seen throwing his gum off the bench after Fred edged him in the 2-1 loss to Villarreal.

It seems that things are getting complicated and the Italian release Transfer market say Van de Beek is looking for a new club in January.

The report claims that “ex-Ajax (sic) agents have been working hard for weeks to study an exit plan already on the January market”.

Calciomercato.it suggests Serie A pair Juventus and Inter Milan are enjoying Van de Beek, who signed £ 36million in the summer of 2020.

Calciomercato suggests his former Ajax team-mate Matthijs de Ligt could play a role in helping Juventus secure a deal.

The sticking point, however, will be the fees. United are said to be keen to get back the money they paid for the Netherlands international. But given his playing time and form over the past 12 months, that will prove difficult.

According to Italian reports, the two Serie A clubs would only sign Van de Beek on loan with an option to buy.

Solskjaer’s sympathy for Van de Beek

Solskjaer sympathized with Van de Beek’s frustrations at the lack of opportunities.

“I manage a team full of international footballers, competitive footballers who want to make a difference, want to play. They all want to be on the pitch, of course they do, ”Solskjaer said ahead of the draw with Everton.

“Donny was ready to come in [against Villarreal], like all players should be. I have probably been a more substitute than anyone at this club and you have to be prepared all the time.

“I haven’t been very happy a few times, but it’s just a decision the manager makes. Alex (Telles) was coming out as left-back and Fred did a good job.

“I understand the frustration. Every player wants to play. It has to be built into the energy and some determination for when you go up and then show me. It’s not just Donny, it’s all the players.
