The tension between Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho Of Manchester United doesn’t seem to be subsiding yet. Ten Hag said everything depends on the player himself.
Ten Hag and Sancho clash after comments ‘war’. Initially, Ten Hag explained the reason Sancho was not included in the squad to the media, namely because he was not serious enough during training.
However, Sancho denied this statement via social media. In the upload, which was later deleted, he felt he was just being a scapegoat.
Sancho’s reaction resulted in punishment from Manchester United. He was left out of the squad indefinitely, reportedly depending on his willingness to apologize to the manager.
In a press conference ahead of the match against Burnley in the Premier League, Ten Hag indicated that the situation was still the same. Sancho will not take part in the match yet.
“Everything depends on him,” Ten Hag was quoted as saying Sky Sports.
“Meanwhile for the others, we are preparing for the match against Burnley and that is our focus. He (Sancho) will not be in the squad,” he added.
Sancho was bought by Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021 for 73 million pounds. So far he has appeared 82 times for the ‘Red Devils’ with a score of 12 goals and six assists.
