Manchester United are considering recruiting Jonny Evans. It was at the request of the manager, Erik ten Hag.
Jonny Evans is no stranger to Old Trafford. Evans is an academy dropout Manchester United in 2004. Having been loaned to several clubs, Evans finally entered the main squad in 2008.
Seven seasons Evans strengthened the Red Devils with a record of 198 appearances. Evans also joined MU in the pre-season session yesterday, in order to maintain fitness. After, the player’s contract expired from Leicester City.
Reported from Daily Mail, manager Erik ten Hag apparently smitten with Jonny Evans. Ten Hag wants the 35-year-old centre-back to last longer!
“I want him to stay, we will immediately negotiate,” he explained.
Manchester United actually already have enough options in the center back position. There are Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire.
The last name failed to sell this summer. Arrival Jonny Evans it is believed that it will provide new strength, due to the player’s flying hours Premier League already high with 356 appearances.
