Ralf Rangnick says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is to blame if Manchester United fail to finish in the Premier League’s top four this season.
Solskjaer was sacked from the Old Trafford hot seat last November after five defeats from seven Premier League games, with Rangnick appointed as a substitute in the hope United can qualify for the European Champions League.

The interim manager admitted he was “worried” about their chances of finishing in the top four but insisted Solskjaer was also partly responsible.
“[Tidak finis empat besar] It’s been a concern since Ole left this club,” Rangnick said ESPN.
“That seems to be one of the reasons why he had to leave this club and of course a result like this” [melawan Southampton] doesn’t make the job any easier.”
“Oppose [Aston] Villa, Burnley and [Southampton] we were 1-0 or 2-0 up, but then wasted two points. It’s okay to happen once, but it shouldn’t happen three times. Those points can change the situation, but it doesn’t.”
“This is what we have to face. We have to realize the truth, and a result like this doesn’t make finishing fourth any easier.”
How not, hosting Southampton last Saturday (12/2), United were again matched after winning for the third time in a row with similar performances against Middlesbrough and Burnley. Previously they even held Villa 2-2 despite winning 2-0 until the 77th minute last January.
