According to an article in El Nacional, United boss Erik ten Hag (52) has his eye on Barça’s Sergino Dest (21). The Dutchman knows the right-back very well from their Ajax times together.
Dest left Amsterdam in October 2020 to join FC Barcelona. At the Camp Nou, however, he was not able to assert himself permanently on the right side of defence. The club therefore intends to sell the property.

A good two weeks ago, journalist Gerard Romero reported on Barcelona’s sales plans. Barça hopes to earn at least 20 million euros from this. For the urgently needed income, however, the club would be flexible when it comes to the transfer fee.

All in all, Man United would have an easier time with Sergino Dest than with Frenkie de Jong. Especially since the American should not have such reservations about the Premier League club as De Jong, who has not wanted to play at Old Trafford so far. Among other things, the non-participation in the Champions League prevents the midfielder from giving his consent to the change.
