Manchester City’s upcoming fixtures after drawing against Arsenal

He Manchester City Pep Guardiola will have a calendar ahead of him in which he will play three competitions: Premier League, EFL Cup and Champions League.

This weekend, Manchester City suffered at home in their duel against Arsenal, which ended with a score of 2-2. The Citizens took the lead with a goal from Erling Haaland, but the Gunners turned it around with goals from Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel. After the important match against Arsenal, Manchester City prepare for a series of key matches that will test the depth of its squad and its ability to remain at the top in both national and international competitions.

Pep Guardiola’s men have a busy schedule with crucial matches in the EFL Cup, Premier League and Champions League, in which they will look to consolidate their good form and continue fighting on all fronts.

The first challenge will come on September 24, when City host Watford at the Etihad Stadium for the third round of the EFL Cup. A match in which Guardiola could opt for rotations, giving minutes to less usual players, although without neglecting the importance of advancing in the competition.

Just four days later, City will travel to the north of England to face Newcastle at St. James’ Park in Matchday 6 of the Premier League. Newcastle, who are having a competitive campaign, will be tough opponents, especially at home, and City will need to be at their best to pick up three points.

Just a few days later, on October 1, City will face Slovan Bratislava in a Champions League regular-season match. City will be looking for a win to keep them on track to qualify for the next round of the European competition.

Back in the Premier League, City will host Fulham on October 5 at the Etihad Stadium. This home game could be a good opportunity for Guardiola’s team to continue picking up points and stay at the top of the table.
