Manchester City is preparing the next big transfer. Pep Guardiola wants to buy a Bayern Munich player

As the English media inform, Manchester City may make another big transfer at the end of the window. Pep Guardiola is looking to strengthen his team with Bayern Munich player David Alaba.

Manchester City wants to take advantage of this situation. “Telegraph” reports that Pep Guardiola intends to strengthen the defense of “Citizens” even though Ruben Dias from Benfica Lisbon has just joined the team. Alaba is the main transfer target. According to the Daily Mail, the manager is “desperate” to contract the Austrian.

Guardiola appreciates the cooperation with the Austrian during his Bayern lead. The 28-year-old would ultimately play the role of the first left defender, and if necessary, he can also play the stopwatch or in the center of the second line. For Alaba’s transfer to England to be possible, however, one important condition must be met – the departure of Oleksandr Zinchenko.

City will gladly give Zinchenko on loan. Real Betis managed to apply for the Ukrainian, but the player himself refused to move to Seville. As we wrote in the last Transfer Review, FC Barcelona is also monitoring the situation of the 23-year-old.-

Zinchenko has no great chances of playing, despite Benjamin Mendy’s always in poor shape and Angelino being sold to Leipzig. In Manchester they hope to convince the Ukrainian representative to borrow. This would open the door to buying Alaba.

Citizens also made a backup plan in case David Alaba was impossible to bring in. Number two on Guardiola’s wish list is Nicolas Tagliafico of Ajax Amsterdam.

The “Transfermarkt” portal estimates Alaba at EUR 65 million.
