English Manchester City defeated Brazilian Fluminense in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The meeting, held in Saudi Arabia, ended with a score of 4:0. Julian Alvarez opened the scoring in the 40th second; the Argentine scored the fastest goal in the history of the tournament. In the middle of the first half, Fluminense defender Nino cut the ball into his own goal. Phil Foden scored the third goal in the 72nd minute, and Alvarez set up the final result in the 88th minute.
Manchester City are the fourth English club to win the Club World Cup. Previously, the trophy was won by Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.
