Manchester City beat Chelsea to advance to the fourth round of the FA Cup

Manchester City qualified for the fourth round of the FA Cup, after beating hosts Chelsea 4-0 in the match that brought them together today, Sunday, in the third round of the tournament.

Manchester City’s goals were scored by Riyad Mahrez (two goals) in the 23rd and 85th minute penalty kicks, Julian Alvarez in the 30th minute penalty kick and Phil Foden in the 38th minute.

This is the sides’ second match in three days, having met last Thursday in the Premier League, and Manchester City won 1-0.

Manchester City will meet the winner of the match between Oxford and Arsenal in the fourth round, which is played tomorrow, Monday.
