Kim Min-jae looks great at the back Napoli. Manchester City and Manchester United reportedly competing to get the defender from South Korea.
The Partenopei took the 26-year-old from Fenerbahce last summer. Napoli reportedly spent around 18.05 million euros to get Kim Min-jae to replace Kalidou Koulibaly.
Kim Min-jae has been a rock in the center of Napoli’s defense this season. He played over 3,456 minutes in 40 appearances, quickly becoming one of the best centre-backs in Italy.
According to a report by Calciomercato.com, Manchester City and Manchester United are interested in picking up Kim this summer. The duo of clubs from Manchester are also reportedly aware that there is a release clause of around 45-50 million euros.
Kim Min-jae’s contract with Napoli ends on June 30 2025. The club believes the player born in Tongyeong will last at least one more season.
Napoli’s sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, is said to not want to lose the player at a low price. Talks with Kim Min-jae’s agent have also been carried out regarding the intensity of the rumours.
