Manchester City are reportedly on the verge of making a new signing.
During Monday, the transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano states that Manchester City have now reached an agreement on a transfer for the attacking brass Sávio, 19, this summer. In the coming days, all necessary documents are expected to be signed.
During this season, Sávio has been on loan with Spanish Girona from French Troyes, and has previously also been on loan with PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands. He came to Troyes from Brazilian Atlético-MG in 2022.
So far this season, Sávio has accounted for seven goals in seven games with Girona, who have had great success and are currently second in La Liga.
In the past, information has also been published in Spain about Barcelona’s interest in Sávio, but Manchester City has at the same time always had an advantage, as City, Troyes and Girona are part of the same multi-club group. City’s owner City Football Group owns Troyes, as does part of Girona, and the Spanish club’s chairman Pere Guardiola is also the brother of City manager Josep Guardiola.
