Manaus will have four strategic points open, this Sunday (10), to intensify the National Vaccination Campaign against Influenza (flu) and Measles, which, in this first stage, is contemplating health workers and the elderly over 60 years. At this point, the Covid-19 vaccine will also be offered to the public aged 12 and over.

According to the Municipal Health Department (Semsa), each vaccination point will serve as a reference for a region of the city:

- North Zone, will be the Phelippe Daou mall;
- South Zone, Studio 5 Convention Center;
- East Zone, Sesi – Clube do Trabalhador;
- West Zone, the DB of Ponta Negra.

All will work from 9 am to 4 pm, with the exception of Studio 5, where the service will be from 10 am to 4 pm.

The influenza vaccine is aimed at the elderly aged 60 years and over and at healthcare workers; and measles, only to health workers.

In the campaign, started across the country this April, the vaccine is being used Trivalent, which protects against the H1N1, H3N2 and B/Victoria strains, and the Triple Viral, which protects against measles, mumps and rubella.

To receive the immunizations it is necessary to present the vaccination card, a photo document and the CPF. Health workers must also carry proof of a link with a health establishment, such as a paycheck, badge or work card.

People who have symptoms of any illness in the acute phase should wait for complete recovery to be vaccinated.

The campaign continues for these two groups until the 2nd of May, starting to cover from the 3rd of May to the 3rd of June the other 15 priority groups for influenza and for children from six months to under five years of age, in the case of measles.

In this first stage of the campaign the goal is to immunize 185,241 people aged 60 and over and 56,618 health workers from the public and private networks of the capital.

In addition to the elderly and health workers, adolescents aged 12 to 17 and the public aged 18 and over can seek one of the four vaccination points on Sunday to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.

In these places, the four doses will be available, according to the audiences and recommended intervals.

For adolescents aged 12 to 17 years, the first dose will be offered to those not yet vaccinated and the second dose to those who received the first dose at least 21 days ago. Those who are in this age group and have a high degree of immunosuppression can also receive the additional dose after two months of the second dose.

For those aged between 18 and 59, two doses of the initial vaccination schedule will be offered, with intervals of 28 days for Astrazeneca and Coronavac and 21 days for Pfizer, and the booster dose (third dose) for those who were vaccinated earlier. four months or more. For the elderly over 60 years, the interval for the third dose is three months and for immunosuppressed patients, only 28 days. People who have received Janssen should only take two doses two months apart.

For immunosuppressed patients and elderly people aged 70 years and over, the fourth dose will also be available, respecting the minimum interval of four months after the third dose.

Anyone who is vaccinated against Covid-19 must present the vaccination card, a photo identification document and the CPF.
