Instagram is the new cool kid. Millennials are moving away from Facebook, but they’re still pretty excited about Instagram. It’s a visual medium and of course brands want in on the action. It’s just natural.
But as cool as Instagram is, he’s totally chill about the whole thing. Instagram likes, whatever dude.
However, for you, the social media marketer who was told “we need an Instagram presence,” all is not entirely smooth sailing. To manage more than one account, you must log out and log back in. This can start to feel painful very quickly.
If you use Android, we have a solution to ease your pain a little. Using an app called Instwogram, you can run an additional Instagram account on your device (the first is the official Instagram app).
How to install Instagram
Instwogram is not available on the Play Store for obvious reasons (it allows you to do something that Instagram doesn’t approve of). But thanks to the open nature of Android and a smart developer, you can run it.
Instwogram basically clones the Instagram app but manages to stay away from the official app. Avoid the Android limitation that says you can’t run two instances of the same app. literally everything In the application it is the same. It also means that the Instwogram app itself will be stable and familiar to use.

Before you can install the app, you will need to enable app installations from unknown sources. Gonna Settings -> Security and enable Unknown sources. More on that here.
On your phone, go to Instwogram’s XDA page and scroll down until you find the download link. At the time of writing this article, the text read Download MediaShare and the latest version was 6.18.0 (direct link here).

Download the APK and tap on the downloaded file to start the installation process. Once it is installed, open the app.
Set up and use Instagram
When you launch the application, you will see the familiar Instagram registration or login screen.
If you already have an account, log in or register. Now you are free to upload images, videos, comment on posts, like them and more.
Instwogram can do even more
This part is strictly for the professional Android user and is purely an add-on. If you are rooted and have Xposed installed, you can download an Xposed plugin called Instagram Downloader which will allow you to download photos and videos from Instagram.
