Dodgers pitcher Shohei Ohtani (30) entered the starting lineup as the “Number 1 DH” and hit his second hit, a single over right field, recording his 38th second steal of the season.

Ohtani has 39 home runs and 38 stolen bases. He was the sixth player in history to hit 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases, one more home run and two stolen bases.

It was obviously a big game. They brought in Munoz in the seventh inning. It shows how important this game was to them.

We really hit it off there. How happy I was for Jason (Hayward) tonight. He does things the right way and is ready when called upon. And then he hit a big blow. This was the highlight of the season for me.

That’s amazing. I’d love to see him hit 40 home runs, and I’d love to see him grab second base and pick it up like Ricky (Henderson) did. (lol)

They might be the best players ever. I want him (Otani) to do that. Of course, it would be nice if he could hit a home run as well. (lol)

He has respect for[Henderson]so he wouldn’t do that (laughs).
