MANAGER OF DRINKING WATER TREATMENT OR PURIFICATION STATION – CCPC

• Reporting to the Water and Sanitation Manager, the agent is responsible for operating the Community’s purification works.
• It operates, manages and optimizes the functioning of treatment plants and pumping stations.
It ensures the organization, planning and implementation of checks on drinking water or collective sanitation station equipment.
He is responsible for evaluating the performance of treatment plants
• He plans and carries out maintenance operations.
• It ensures the administrative monitoring of data, participates in the drafting of regulatory reports, and demonstrates the proper functioning of the structures through relevant operating indicators.

ACTIVITES
Monitoring, management and optimization of the purification process of wastewater treatment plants
• Adjust and optimize treatments, in particular nitrogen and phosphorus treatment, based on analysis results, management of the sludge sector
• Carry out field measurements, take samples, laboratory analysis and interpretation of results
Leveraging station performance evaluation results for future strategies
Carry out a diagnosis of the operation of the purification equipment
• Carry out regular cleaning campaigns for purification works (screening, settling basins, filters, etc.)
• Establish and monitor operating indicators
Environmental regulations and more particularly those relating to water treatment and water quality
• Management of reagent and material stocks
• Rigorous monitoring of self-monitoring protocols
• Anticipate malfunctions and react quickly to unforeseen situations
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Preventive and curative maintenance of electromechanical equipment
• Plan maintenance management
• Ensure equipment maintenance (dismantling of electromechanical equipment, preventive replacement of parts, lubrication, etc.)
• Inform and operate the CMMS
• Monitoring of discharge agreements with manufacturers
• Administrative and budgetary management under the approval of the department manager
Define hardware needs
Adjust administrative documents to the needs of the department and external partners
Check the administrative compliance of the various documents
• Organization with the department manager of the holiday schedule, taking into account the department’s workload
• Training of operational personnel
• Participate in mowing reeds on reed bed filter treatment plants
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES
• Support external companies during work on the stations
• Organize visits to purification facilities (elected officials, public, schools, etc.)

Specializations
A specialization in electricity/automation would be a plus for this position.

Conditions of exercise
• Physical ability to work indoors or outdoors in all weathers, in all seasons, on foot or by motor. Field work.
• Mandatory technical knowledge and experience in water treatment.
• Mastery of nitrogen treatment on an activated sludge WWTP and physicochemical dephosphatation.
Hygiene and safety on wastewater treatment equipment
• Technical knowledge of electricity and automation required.
• Numerous trips linked to visits to stations in the area
• Flexible hours: hours may be irregular.
• Night and weekend duty
• Wearing safety clothing is mandatory
Health risks (leptospirosis, hepatitis, tetanus, etc.) and accidents (slips, falls, drowning, etc.)
Potentially: marked physical constraints, aggressive physical environment
• Special qualifications acquired or to be acquired (electrical compulsory, etc.)
