Through a video, the Manager of the Valle del Cauca Aqueduct and Sewer Society Acuavalle SA ESP Jorge Enrique Sánchez Cerón announced that they are trying to commit scams in which they seek to deceive and get money in his name.
The official said that he began to receive some comments, especially from engineers and officials of the Valle del Cauca governorate related to an alleged change in cell phone number.
This is how he learned that an attempt was being made to commit a fraud around his identity, by means of the telephone for illicit purposes.
Sánchez Cerón indicated that he has never changed his contact number nor is he requesting information, or money, through social networks.
He assured that the authorities were made aware of the situation and an investigation was launched to find those responsible for the fraud.
“Much attention and care I want to inform you that I have been a victim of impersonation and my social networks and bank accounts have been violated, I also want to make it clear that I never communicate with someone through the Facebook Messenger chat and did not send messages to do business Through social networks, please do not be fooled and help me spread this message so that innocent people continue to fall into these scams that they are doing, ”requested the official, who reported the situation to the Attorney General’s Office.
Faced with this situation, the Government of Valle del Cauca reported that neither the Department nor its decentralized institutions make business offers through social networks.
In this sense, he emphasized that contracts and public calls are made following all state guidelines established for transparency such as Secop II.
