In July 1988, Walter Ogrod was arrested and sentenced to death for the murder of four-year-old Barbara Jean Horn. Ogrod was arrested after the boy’s body was found stuffed in a television box on a bed in front of his Castor Gardens home. Ogrod said police coerced his confession, and after 28 years in prison, a common pleas judge overturned his conviction three years ago.
