The incident happened on Sunday in the shop of a gas station. Police say the suspect has since been arrested.
Surveillance footage shows the armed man walking outside. As he opens the door, he takes a gun from his pants and points it at the man holding the baby in his right arm (video: see the tweet below).

In a reflex, the man hits the weapon with his left arm, after which the robber chooses eggs for his money and walks out of the store.
Weapon blocked
Detroit police say the men may have had a disagreement prior to the incident. That the firearm failed to function is said to be due to the blow that the attacked man had dealt. That probably caused the gun to jam, police say.
