Man waves ‘firearm’ to fellow road users on A29

A man in a van has something this afternoon on the A29 near Heinenoord that looked like a firearm aimed at fellow road users. One of the drivers alerted the police and he arrested the man in his house in the region of The Hague.

According to a police spokesperson, it is not yet clear whether the weapon was genuine or fake. That is now being investigated.

It is also not known what inspired the man to wave the weapon from the window of the van to other cars.
