Man Wanted in 3 Armed Robberies in Less Than 40 Minutes in Bronx – NBC New York

Police are looking for the suspect in three armed robberies, all occurring within nearly an hour, in the Bronx, authorities said.

The robberies happened between 1:50 a.m. and 2:13 a.m. on Monday, June 6, in Randall Avenue, Barretto Street y East 149th StreetPolice said.

The first robbery involved a Randall Avenue food vendor. Cops say the suspect approached the car and showed a firearm to the 38-year-old woman who was driving it. He demanded money, then took about $70 before fleeing in a scooter motorized.

Surveillance video released by police shows him putting the gun down on the counter as he reaches into a tip jar and asks for more cash.

Just two minutes later, New York City Police said the same man allegedly approached a 51-year-old man on Barretto Street and demanded money, also while displaying the firearm. The suspect took about $110 before fleeing again on the motorized device.

The final robbery occurred shortly before 2:15 a.m. the same day, inside a check cashing business in East 149th Street. In that case, police said the suspected thief walked in and handed the 60-year-old clerk a note demanding money. He then he showed the gun.

The clerk didn’t deliver anything, so the man left empty-handed, police said. No injuries were reported in any of the three cases.
