Manchester United give praise for the sympathy of the fans Arsenal to the megastar Cristiano Ronaldo in the 34th Premier League duel at the Emirates, Saturday (23/4).
Cristiano Ronaldo is back playing for Man Utd after missing against Liverpool because of his son who died earlier this week.
Before kickoff Arsenal fans gave CR7 a round of applause when his name was mentioned in the line-up. The classy action of the Gunners supporters was repeated when the match was running.
When the game was running for seven minutes, Arsenal and Man Utd fans clapped their hands together as a tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo.
The action also occurred when Man Utd played away to Liverpool’s headquarters, in a midweek match. Even though Ronaldo was absent from the match, the Reds fans expressed their sympathy by singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.
When Arsenal’s home fans gave their support for Ronaldo, the star and other Man Utd players were pressing Arsenal’s defence.
The Arsenal supporters’ commendable attitude received special attention from Man Utd. Through uploads on Twitter, the Red Devils gave appreciation.
“Classy move from Arsenal fans, with a round of applause for Cristiano Ronaldo in the seventh minute,” wrote Man Utd.
Ronaldo, who scored one goal in the match, also remembered his late son during the celebration.
The 37-year-old striker didn’t celebrate the iconic ‘Siuuu’ goal, instead raising his left hand and pointing to the sky.
MU itself had to accept the fact that they lost 1-3 to Arsenal in that match. Arsenal won thanks to goals from Nuno Tavares in the third minute, Bukayo Saka 32′ and Granit Xhaka 70′, while Manchester United only responded through Cristiano Ronaldo in the 34th minute.
