At 05:11 on Sunday night, Møre og Romsdal police received a report that someone had broken into a bar in Kristiansund.
There, a man in his 60s had used an ax to enter the bar after hours.
– When the police arrived, the man was sitting and drinking wine, says Eivind Klokkersund, head of police operations.
Taken to the detention center
The man had also done some damage inside the bar.
Police operations director Eivind Klokkersund says they are taking the incident seriously.

He was checked for injuries by on-site medical personnel before being taken into custody.
– We will interrogate him during the day to get his explanation and then follow up the case further, says Klokkersund.
The police are investigating the case further.
– This is not behavior the police want and we take it seriously. The case is then followed up on our side, says Klokkersund.
