Tahith Chong will also be rented out next season by Manchester United. The Dutchman is going to work in the Championship, Birmingham City becomes his new employer.
That’s what makes Birmingham Friday afternoon announced. Chong is loaned out by United for the third time. He played for Werder Brenen and Club Brugge last season. In Germany he got very little playing time, at Club Brugge he didn’t make a great impression.
The Birmingham adventure looks like a last chance to save his career at Manchester United. Chong has a contract expiring in the summer of 2022, although United do have an option to extend this contract for another year. Birmingham presented another Dutchman not long ago: Juan Familia-Castillo is taken over from Chelsea on a rental basis.
