Manchester United were linked before last summer with the signing of Bayer Leverkusen’s winger Jeremie Frimpong, but in the end there was no transfer and in the autumn the 23-year-old instead signed a new contract until the summer of 2028.
Now the German newspaper Sport Bild states that Manchester United are again interested in Frimpong, who has been successful in Leverkusen this season, before the summer transfer window, and are stepping up their hunt to get a deal done. Frimpong is said to be seen as a good replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Recently, information was also published that Bayern Munich is following Frimpong.
Frimpong joined Leverkusen from Celtic in the winter of 2021, and also has a background in Manchester City operations. He is in this season recorded for 13 goals and eleven assists in 40 games with the German champions.
