Manchester United advanced 3-1, but Onana’s mistakes in dealing with free kicks contributed to putting the Turkish team back in the match atmosphere again.
Onana’s lapses caused his Manchester United team to draw with Galatasaray 3-3 yesterday, Wednesday, in the fifth round of the group stage of the Champions League.
Manchester United took the lead early in the 11th minute through Alejandro Garnacho, and strengthened their lead with a powerful shot from Bruno Fernandes in the 18th minute.
Hakim Ziyech brought Galatasaray back into the match, reducing the difference in the 29th minute, by committing a violation on the edge of the area and shooting a direct ball into the corner where Onana was standing, but the Cameroonian goalkeeper made a mistake in estimating the ball and it went into the net.

United succeeded in strengthening its lead again through Scott McTominay in the 55th minute, but Onana refused to keep Galatasaray’s hope alive in the match.
In the 62nd minute, the Turkish team was fouled, and Ziyech committed it by shooting a ball into the middle of the goal, but Onana made a strange mistake in catching it and it went into the net.

Kerim Akturkoglu managed to score an equalizer for Galatasaray in the 71st minute with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area.
Onana’s mistakes could cost his team an early exit from the Champions League, as Manchester United now occupies last place in the group with 4 points.
This is not the first time Onana has committed disastrous mistakes, as he previously committed similar mistakes against Bayern Munich.
Onana said at the time that he let the team down because of his big mistake at the start of his team’s match, which they lost 4-3 to Bayern Munich, at the beginning of their Champions League campaign.
